In the past week of my little blogging adventure I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity of exploring The Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa. This was a launch event for their new line of products that will be arriving within the next month or so, and as part of this we were quite literally treated like royalty. Gorgeous canapes, Christmas pud cocktails, Oh.. and did I mention a complimentary mini treatment? Needless to say it was an incredible night, a night where I was blown away and officially fell in love with a hotel.
Now where do I even begin? Oh yes, a quick shout out to the MANY Christmas tree's scattered around the hotel. In a world where many people don't believe that these beautiful tree's should be up in November the hotel did an incredible job of bringing the Christmas spirit to life early, and creating the most welcoming environment for us to walk into. This would be a great place if you want to start the holiday season off with a bang.
We were escorted down the most pristine and polished white staircase to a little room where we all gathered to get to know each other and swoon over how beautiful this building was (Not to mention all the photographing of how blog worthy all the set ups were) whilst gathered around and being treated to the most beautiful canapes and Christmas pud cocktails we were given the choices of I believe three mini treatments;
- File and polish
- Hand and arm massage
- Scalp massage
Naturally I picked the the hand and arm massage, and was lucky enough to be treated to a quick scalp massage after. Now admittedly I've never been to a spa before but my god, from my experience of that massage other spa's really have some standards to beat if they want to have one up on this one. The staff were all incredibly friendly, to the point where you could see how much they truly loved their jobs which really is one of the most welcoming sights to any visitor of a hotel.
As shown in the photo below there was a beautiful and bright area where you could sit either whilst waiting to go to the spa or if you just wanted a place to cool off and relax afterwards. Within the spa they have a few dedicated treatment rooms, equipped with facilities for massages, nail treatments, pregnancy treatments and many more. These spa facilities can be booked for £25 per person but must be booked in advance. As part of the spa in general there are a selection of packages available ranging from;

Now, my favourite part you ask? The gold bar. Described by the hotel as 'The city's most stylish and contemporary new venue, with a prime central location'. I can definitely back that statement up ten times over. One of the most beautifully decorated bars/restaurants that I've come across in my life (And I'm not just saying that as a result of them giving me a free return pass to the spa..). The furniture is a perfect mix and match combination that just works, throwing it back to the 80's with the flower power indulged furniture accompanied by some controversial modern art work. These elements put together as one just give you vibes from so many different eras,and one thing I truly love is that you can see that they've worked so hard on perfecting these area's to the very last detail giving it so much love and attention.
Take the grand fireplace for instance, this is topped with a few books and magazines perfectly layered on top of each other.. not to mention two statement chairs that sit in front of it. Now the gold bar is open 7 days a week: Friday and saturday 12 noon until 1am / Monday to thursday 5pm until 12am midnight and sunday 12 noon until 11pm. With this bar having been split into many little sections following the old layout of Lloyds bank which was the original purpose of the building (with the original doors and vaults retained throughout) it has naturally created a cosy atmosphere. And I am so excited to get myself back here with my boyfriend for a lovely little date night with good drinks and good company.
Now I understand with all of the positive comments and praise I've given to this place it probably sounds too good to be true but honestly its not, from exploring this venue from the spa, to the events room and the Gold bar I honestly did not have one fault to pick out. If you're looking for that perfect Christmas getaway, stay-cation or even a gift for a loved one I could not recommend any other place but here, and I honestly cannot wait to get myself back to this incredible space to treat myself to a little relaxing spa day and even a cheeky little treatment. Thank you again to The Bristol Harbour hotel and spa team for having us and for looking after us so well. And in case I haven't linked it enough throughout the blog you can take a look at all the information on their website here
